Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative performs clinic clerical tasks, such as registering patients, communicating financial obligations, and collecting fees. Additional responsibilities include scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, managing incoming mail, filing correspondence and records, and other clerical duties.

• Obtains critical demographic and financial information, accurately inputs data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and other applications, and verifies documentation such as Consent for Treatment, Assignment of Benefits, Financial Responsibility, and Notice of Privacy Practices.
• Answers and relays incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls. Provides routine instructions for patient visits.
• Supports clerical functions by scheduling meetings, patients, and appointments; maintaining calendars; and coordinating with clinical services.
• Handles cash receipts and daily deposits, ensuring the cash drawer balances daily.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in the clinic area, performing routine cleaning duties.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Driver's license and access to transportation

Preferred

• Experience in medical clerical work within a hospital, physician practice, clinic, nursing home, or insurance agency.
