Job Description

The Certified Medical Assistant will coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe, quality, and cost‑effective service and care for patients within the practice population.

• Facilitate patient intake, screening, and registration procedures.
• Assist with clinical tasks including medication administration and basic laboratory techniques.
• Perform administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, records management, and documentation.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain high standards of patient safety and care.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program that includes pharmacology and medication administration.
• Certification / Licensure: Current certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire. Accepted certifications include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT, American Registry of Medical Assistants, NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, AAH, ARMA).
• Experience: Previous work in a medical office preferred.
