Role
Summary:
Conducts subjective assessments, administers objective tests, implements individualized programs, evaluates progress, documents results, and mentors colleagues. May provide off‑site services as needed.
- Conduct a subjective assessment of assigned patients’ speech‑language abilities.
- Administer objective tests to assess communication assets and liabilities.
- Structure and implement individualized patient programs to improve communication abilities.
- Regularly evaluate patients during treatment and adjust programs to maximize progress.
- Document progress in the patient chart and complete notes, charges, and discharge notes.
- Consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician regarding pre‑screen assessments and placement decisions.
- Master’s in Speech Language Pathology or related discipline.
- Current North Carolina license, ASHA certification, and BLS Healthcare Provider.
- Preferred:
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) or CFY. - Experience:
Clinical affiliations with acute‑care procedures, videofluorographic and non‑instrumental swallow evaluations, and cognitive, language, motor‑speech, dysphagia, and tracheostomy management. - New graduate eligible.
