* What You Will Do:

** We are seeking an
*** Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Manager
*** for the Asheville, NC site. This role is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and control of the Asheville site organizations’ Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) programs and procedures to safeguard employees and the environment. The role also enables and ensures the compliance of all facilities with EH&S regulations and RTX requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

* Acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures including EH&S Program Management.
* Responsibility for multiple EH&S specialties.
* May perform tasks associated with Health / Safety and Environmental / Compliance.
* Coordinates with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices.

May have responsibility for medical at the site.
* Organizes and maintains EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.
* Manages relationships across other specialized departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and RTX requirements.
* Owns the execution of the long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and the operational direction, typically for a business of modest size and scope. or Manages a team of primarily experienced professionals.
* Focuses on tactical and operational plans with short- to medium-term focus (e.g., less than 1 year to 1 - 2 years).
* Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
* Implements initiatives that drive continuous improvements and achieve and maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
* Conducts in-depth analysis of the portfolio for environmental opportunities to determine environmental compliance.
* Collaborates with sites to define controls for EHS program to maintain the policies.
* Assesses EHS impacts and develops/implements programs to reduce risk as well as achieve and maintain compliance. Manages environmental permits and reporting criteria.
* Establishes and tracks plans to achieve and maintain compliance and to reduce risk.
* Leads audits of the implementation of the EHS management system at the different factories and service locations.
* Leads the communication of global EHS initiatives and comprehensive performance to EHS professionals and upper-level management.
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years’ relative EH&S experience required, or, advanced degree with 10+ years’ relative EH&S experience required.
