Position: Quality Clinic Investigation Manager (Onsite)

What You Will Do

The selected candidate will support the Asheville site by serving as a focal point that works with Engineering, Customer Support, Procurement, and other functions to drive the quality signature in support of product delivery for critical high-precision engine components. This role requires innovative problem solving and the ability to develop timely action plans for resolution while executing the quality management system.

It also requires knowledge of quality systems, familiarity with SAP transactions, and the ability to query data from SAP and Solumina databases.

  • Oversight of the Escape Management Process(es) for the assigned organization.
  • Manage Problem Resolution Team (PRTs) for escapes.
  • Manage customer return process for site.
  • Manage tracking of escape corrective actions for site.
  • Drive personal improvement in RCCA & 8D competency.
  • Participate in Quality Clinic and RCCA discipline process improvement events.
  • Foster and maintain cooperative relationships with Program Quality, Product Recall, and leverage clinic-to-clinic interaction across the enterprise.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • BS in an Engineering or Manufacturing related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with 8D & RCCA is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Value
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering technical data, such as manufacturing or part drawings, to provide guidance to cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management and decision-making skills.
  • Work experience with government regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, & ISO.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, external customers, and government agencies.
  • Certification in Red-X / 6 Sigma / similar data-driven problem solving approach preferred.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite, including all production and maintenance workers who are essential to engine development.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and responsibilities, candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
