Job Description
Teach a full range of technical skills and principles relative to culinary arts.
Duties:
Teach a full range of technical front of house service skills and principles relative to Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. Apply and maintain sanitation and safety standards and uniform requirements in the classroom and lab environments. Maintain accurate records in required format for audit purposes. All classes are taught on the Main Campus. Classes may be day or evening.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree plus five years of professional dining/catering/table side classical and contemporary service experience working at upscale facilities in the capacity of Front of House Manager or Supervisor;
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Evidence of service competency, which may include an established track record of high performance in well-regarded culinary or hospitality operations as a manager or supervisor;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree plus five years’ experience working at upscale facilities in the capacity of Front of House Manager or Supervisor;
- Well versed and experienced in classical and contemporary styles of service;
- Experience teaching in higher education;
- Industry recognized certifications.
