This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency department in one of the most scenic and vibrant cities in the Southeast - all while maintaining the flexibility and autonomy of a 1099 independent contractor role.

• Flagship facility: 815-bed regional referral center and western North Carolina's only Level II trauma center (transitioning to Level I)
• High-volume ED: 100,000+ annual visits
• Advanced EMR:
  Cerner First Net for streamlined documentation
• Specialty support: comprehensive Stroke Center, full-service specialty backup
• Team environment: experienced EM physicians, APCs, and collaborative leadership

• Board-certified/eligible in emergency medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
• Confident managing high acuity and complex cases
• Strong communicator and team player
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
