Overview
A Sr. Project Manager supports and leads the Project Manager, Superintendent and entire project team throughout the construction process by facilitating actions that will complete projects successfully, including clear communication of goals and expectations, oversight of the project budget, project schedule, and construction plans, and maintaining positive vendor and client relationships.
Responsibilities- Support and lead project teams to complete construction projects successfully, including clear communication of goals and expectations.
- Oversee project budget, schedule, and construction plans; maintain positive vendor and client relationships.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Lead interview processes for pursuits and manage presentation of interview materials.
- Engage with Preconstruction staff and lead pricing efforts when needed.
- Monitor long-term project health and anticipate issues; manage projects against established schedules and budgets.
- Experience as Construction Manager at-risk
- Experience with Institutional projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Procore
- Ability to build and grow teammates and client relationships; team player, contributor and leader
- Excellent front-of-house presentation and communication skills
4 year college degree in a construction-related field and/or 8-10+ years of experience in commercial construction management.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret building plans, schedules and product specification sheets; ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Math SkillsAbility to perform standard mathematical calculations, interpret data, and assist with project pricing and budgets.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve problems, interpret instructions, manage projects against schedules and budgets, and respond when actuals do not match projections.
Physical DemandsRegularly required to talk, hear, observe, and move on construction sites; ability to work in office and construction environments with vision requirements.
Work EnvironmentOffice and indoor/outdoor construction sites with varying temperatures, elevations, dusty conditions, and loud noises.
