Job Title: Estimator (Commercial/High-End Residential Masonry Construction)

Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 (DOE)

Tiello has partnered with a well-established commercial masonry contractor with a strong presence across the Southeast. This organization is known for delivering complex masonry scopes on high-profile commercial projects and for valuing technical expertise within its estimating team. They are seeking an experienced Estimator to support continued growth in the Western North Carolina market.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial masonry projects from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission. The Estimator will work closely with project management, field leadership, and preconstruction teams to ensure estimates are realistic, thorough, and aligned with execution strategy.

• Commercial & High-End Residential Masonry Projects including - Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Multifamily, Institutional Projects ($1M – $6M+)

• Prepare detailed and accurate masonry estimates for commercial projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs for brick, block, stone, and related masonry scopes
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to assess full project scope
• Develop labor, material, and equipment pricing based on production rates and field experience
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and supplier pricing
• Collaborate with operations and field leadership to validate constructability and production assumptions
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and scope reviews
• Assist with value engineering and alternative pricing when applicable
• Support project handoff from estimating to operations

• 3+ years of experience in commercial masonry estimating or related construction estimating roles
• Strong preference for candidates with Tradesman experience
• Deep understanding of masonry materials, means and methods, and production rates
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with estimating and construction software (Tradesman strongly preferred
  , Bluebeam, Excel)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Eligibility to work in the United States
