This role will focus on leading and coordinating projects that involve new home residential construction, remodeling, and restoration work. This position is field-based, requiring a strong on‑site presence to manage and monitor construction activities.
Candidates should expect to spend the majority of their time in the field rather than in an office setting.

- Collaborate with internal and external contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate all phases of new home construction, remodeling, and restoration.
- Maintain and track capital and operational budgets, ensuring cost‑effectiveness without compromising quality standards.
- Implement and enforce company policies, industry regulations, and insurance standards to enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance in all projects.
- Maintain detailed project reports for all processes, providing regular updates and support to project managers and the Director of Construction.
- Supervise and oversee daily contractor activity on job sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Evaluate project schedules, ensuring adequate manpower allocation, materials availability, and budget adherence.
- Assess workforce requirements, coordinating with various teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review project plans and conduct risk assessments, identifying and mitigating potential issues while recommending cost‑effective solutions.
- Manage and enforce change orders, ensuring modifications align with project goals and budget constraints.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices, while staying informed on new safety policies and risk management strategies.
- Implement project control tools, including cost‑tracking and reporting systems, and provide training to team members on best practices.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of direct, hands‑on experience in general construction, including significant time spent actively working in the field.
- Strong understanding of residential construction processes, materials, and building codes.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and project specifications, and develop accurate cost estimates.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety procedures, job site hazard recognition, and restoration work protocols.
- Proficiency in computer information systems, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and project management platforms such as Buildertrend.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate teams, manage workflows, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and implement proactive solutions.
- Valid NC driver’s license is required due to the significant amount of travel between job sites.
- Strong work ethic, adaptability, and a positive attitude, with a willingness to grow within a rapidly expanding company.
- Preferred – Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science, or a related field, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This is a full‑time, on‑site position. Standard work hours are Monday‑Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., though some flexibility is required due to the nature of restoration and disaster recovery projects.
- Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000 + Bonus Potential
- Health Reimbursement Program
- Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
- 3% IRA Match
- Company vehicle provided
- NC Driver’s License (Required)
