The PositionThe Operations Accounting Clerk is responsible for verifying and completing a variety of invoices and payments for the stores. They also provide administrative support and assist other Operations teams when necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Verify and complete alcohol invoices and payments.
- Enter and confirm applicable data for returned checks when received.
- Track Western Union payments and credits.
- File and organize checks and payments in a timely fashion.
- Prepare checks for collections agencies.
- Follow up with stores regarding Anti-Money Laundering Policies and Procedures and ensure stores are reporting suspicious AML activity to corporate for monitoring.
- Dispatch work orders for gas stations and send daily fuel prices.
- Assist Fuel Operations in paying gas and carwash invoices and clear failed invoices in fuel.
- Prepare sales, use, and hospitality tax to file monthly.
- Provide administrative support, including switchboard operation when necessary.
- Observe all company rules and policies.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations.
- Perform all other duties and assignments as directed.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in accounting or related fields preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
- Able to work both independently and as a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer and typing skills and comfortable using general office equipment.
