Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves preparing individual tax returns, managing bookkeeping tasks, and utilizing industry-specific software. If you have a strong understanding of tax regulations and enjoy working with financial data, this position offers a great opportunity to contribute your expertise.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare individual tax returns, including 1040s, Schedule Cs, and Schedule Es.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax Software for accurate and efficient tax preparation.

- Manage bookkeeping tasks using Quick Books Desktop to ensure precise financial records.

- Analyze and organize financial data for clients to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide tax-related guidance.

- Conduct reviews of completed tax returns to verify accuracy and compliance.

- Address client inquiries regarding tax filings and bookkeeping processes.

- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to maintain up-to-date knowledge.

- Provide support in financial planning related to tax obligations.

- Ensure confidentiality and security of client financial information. Requirements

- Experience with tax preparation, including individual tax returns.

- Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software.

- Familiarity with Quick Books Desktop for bookkeeping.

- Knowledge of Schedule Cs, Schedule Es, and 1040 forms.

- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

- Associate's degree or higher required.
