At Covanta Environmental Solutions, our CDL Drivers perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Covanta facilities and the Client’s sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans and flat beds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Safety is the number one goal of all CES employees. Drivers must operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT and company policies / regulations.

Driving commercial vehicle to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.

Ensure placarding of vehicle meets DOT regulations.

Maintain paperwork - expense reports, time sheets, vehicle inspection reports, Manifests and job sheets.

Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.

Secures cargo prior to and during transit.

Other duties as assigned.

• CDL Class A or B with Haz Mat and Tanker endorsements
• Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
• Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs
• Abide by standard DOT regulations at all times
• This position requires the employee to sit and drive for long periods of time
• Must be able to push, pull, lift or carry up to 50 pounds
• “Due to this positions interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations, candidates must be 21 years or older”
