Maintenance Technician

12 HR shift (6am - 6pm)

Job Summary:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and calibration of systems such as electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, along with associated equipment and processes used in manufacturing tungsten carbide, HSS, and ceramic tools, including facility equipment. The job operates under general work instructions, standardized practices, procedures, and supervision of progress and results. Must follow safety procedures, recommended practices, job safety analysis (JSA), safe work permits, and comply with plant safety programs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Repair equipment following standard engineering practices and OEM technical manuals. Ability to read schematics, use multimeters and ammeters, understand motor controls, PLCs & ladder logic, perform soldering, welding, threading, and understand power transmission components such as gearboxes, sprockets, and belts. Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing and service equipment, identifying root causes. Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Overhaul and rebuild equipment, including rewiring and replacing motors, bearings, encoders, circuit boards, switches, relays, and timers, followed by calibration and testing.
  • Work from prints, sketches, schematics, vendor manuals, or verbal instructions to maintain equipment in proper adjustment, alignment, and fitting.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including inspection, repair, and lubrication of manufacturing and facility equipment, following the plant's preventive maintenance program.
  • Utilize equipment manuals and verbal instructions for intricate equipment adjustments. Use basic CNC processing and test equipment for diagnosing defective components.
  • Review work orders, document, and complete them upon finishing tasks. Calibrate manufacturing equipment and robots according to OEM guidelines.
  • Collaborate with staff across departments, outside vendors, and service engineers. Attend technical training to upgrade skills and knowledge of complex equipment and processes.
Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates:

Associate degree or equivalent in industrial maintenance or related discipline, with 3-5 years of maintenance repair experience in a manufacturing facility.
