Open your home to provide an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities a unique opportunity to live with a family unit. AFL living enables a person to live in a private home with a family and receive 24‑hour supports and habilitation.

Job Overview

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a person interested in becoming an Alternative Family Living (AFL) Provider in North Carolina. As an AFL provider, you will welcome an individual who possesses intellectual developmental disabilities and/or possibly mental health challenges into your home. You will offer a stable and caring environment where they can live, grow, and integrate into the community working toward daily living skills and independence.

Depending on the supported individual, they may attend a day program or receive additional services in addition to the residential services you provide.

Role and Responsibilities

CNA or DSP experience is preferred.

This role is for an independent contractor and is not an employment position.
