Senior Care Assistant – Ashby Court Care Home, Ashby‑de‑la‑Zouch, Leicestershire LE65 2PX

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead a team of Care Assistants delivering high quality, personal care to our residents. You will inspire, develop, and nurture the team to be their best each day. You will work closely with the Nurse to aid clinical duties for the home and will be pivotal in running a unit, supporting the nurse in clinical tasks, medication, care plan review, and accurate record keeping.

You will have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in care or higher. We are happy to support you in completing your qualification if needed. You will bring previous experience of the role and a passion for making a real difference to people's lives, giving them the kindness, personalised support and dignity they need.

We will train you on all aspects of our new digital care, which is transforming how we work, making things easier and letting you focus on clinical excellence and care for our residents. As healthcare experts for over 75 years, we are committed to continual training in social care developments so you can do your job effectively.

You'll Help Us Make Health Happen By:

  • Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
  • Supporting clinical duties, including assisting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans, and maintain accurate record keeping
  • Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers of the teams
  • Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
  • Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
  • Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
