Project Estimator – (Fire Protection Industry)

Ashby-de-la-Zouch

£40,000 + Bonus and development & progression

A confidential employer within the passive fire protection sector is expanding its commercial team and seeking an Estimator to join their head office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. This position is ideal for someone analytical, proactive and eager to develop expertise in a compliance-led, in-demand niche of the construction industry.

You will support the preparation and submission of quotations for passive fire protection works across a range of construction projects. Working closely with a Senior Estimator and an experienced sales team, you’ll gain exposure to technical drawings, tender documentation, pricing processes and direct client communication.

Full training will be provided on industry products, systems and standards, enabling you to build both technical and commercial confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the sales team with the production and submission of timely tender returns
• Following up on previously submitted tenders and gathering client feedback
• Carrying out take-offs from drawings to determine quantities and pricing
• Entering projects, tenders and follow-up dates into internal systems
• Developing IT skills in line with the formats of processed information
• Reporting progress regularly to the Senior Estimator
• Attending site visits where possible to observe operations and meet clients
• Maintaining regular contact with contractors and clients via phone and email
• Building and developing strong relationships with clients and contractors
• Reporting KPIs at regular meetings
• Ensuring all documentation meets ISO
  9001 and FIRAS standards
