Software Developer (Java and Angular) – DHS or CBP Public Trust or Top Secret Preferred
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Software Developer experienced in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, and AWS to support government clients. The role is hybrid (1–2 days per week onsite in Ashburn, Virginia) and requires US citizenship.

Responsibilities- Support a dynamic government customer with development tasks primarily in Java, Angular, Spring, and AWS technologies.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement application solutions that meet mission‑critical needs.
- Work independently and coordinate with intersecting teams in an Agile environment.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, update Jira tasks daily, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot issues in production and non‑production systems.
- Continuously learn new technologies to fulfill project and customer needs.
- Education:
Technical training, certificate(s), or bachelor’s degree. - 7+ years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Java (8+), Spring (or Spring Boot), Angular, and REST/SOAP services.
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, Postgre
SQL). - Experience writing automated unit tests (JUnit).
- Agile team experience using Jira or similar tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and exceed client expectations.
- Security clearance:
Ability to obtain CBP Public Trust suitability (takes 4–6 weeks). - US citizenship required.
- CI/CD tools (Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, Sonar Qube).
- Cloud deployment (AWS). Docker, Kubernetes.
- JavaScript/Angular frameworks, Hibernate/MyBatis, JMS (IBM MQ, Active
MQ). - Python, Kafka, Linux.

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744–$115,000. Salary will be set based on experience, location, and contractual requirements.
