Business Analyst​/QA Engineer

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst with automated testing skills. The Business Analyst / Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer bridges business needs with technical execution by identifying automation opportunities, defining testable requirements in the form of user stories with acceptance criterion, and creating automated test scripts. In this role, you will engage in requirements gathering, test case creation, requirements to testing mapping, and test execution to validate functionality meets business needs and strategic goals.

• Document requirements as user stories with acceptance criterion.
• Create test cases and requirements traceability matrix.
• Design, develop, and execute automated scripts to validate software functionality, efficiency, and performance.
• Provide backup support for operations and the help desk when the operations support resource is out, or in times of surge.
• Contribute to program deliverables, including weekly status reports, monthly progress reports, and stakeholder briefings.

• U.S. Citizen;
  Active DHS Public Trust (or higher clearance) or Top Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or other related discipline.
• Minimum of three (3) years relevant specialized experience.
• Experience working with stakeholders, business users, and technical SMEs to gather and refine requirements.
• Experience in documenting requirements in user story format.
• Experience creating requirements traceability matrices.
• Skilled in writing test cases based on user stories.
• Skilled in executing test cases and documenting results.
• Experience developing and executing automated test scripts using automation frameworks or tools (Selenium, JMeter, Test Rigor, or similar).
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in tools including Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Familiarity with Service Now
• Background in emerging technologies (AI, automation, cloud services)
• Experience with manual Section 508 testing and tools (i.e. JAWS)
