Service Now Architect
Ashburn, VA (Hybrid - 1-day onsite / 4-days remote)

We have an immediate full-time opening for a Service Now Architect to serve as the technical lead and product architect for enterprise Service Now solutions supporting a federal program.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and product architect for Service Now-based solutions
- Own end-to-end application architecture including data models, integrations, automation, security, and platform configuration
- Design and deliver custom and scoped applications on the Service Now platform
- Architect and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Servers
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate requirements into scalable, compliant solutions
- Present and evangelize solutions to architecture guilds and leadership
- Develop epics and user stories in partnership with Scrum Masters
- Lead technical Agile ceremonies, including demos to Product Owners and stakeholders
- Mentor developers and testers while fostering a collaborative team environment
- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards
- Identify architectural risks, technical debt, compliance gaps, and remediation strategies
- Review cybersecurity assessments and static code analysis findings
- Stay current on Service Now platform capabilities and industry trends
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- 4+ years working in Agile Scrum environments
- Strong background working within cross-functional teams
- Service Now application design, configuration, and scripting
- Data modeling, access controls, and platform security
- Integration architecture (REST/SOAP, Integration Hub, MID Servers)
- Ability to guide Agile teams through technical decision-making and issue resolution
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contributing to program-level architecture and platform standards
- Service Now Automated Test Framework (ATF)
- Designing, developing, and delivering multiple Service Now scoped applications
-Must be able to pass a federal background investigation, including:
- 3-year felony conviction check
- 1-year illegal drug use check
- 1-year misconduct check (e.g., theft, fraud)
