Data Center Technician – Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Job Description

Schedule to cover 24/7 data center operations. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) offers an opportunity to help build and operate an enterprise cloud platform at significant scale. If you thrive on solving large‑scale technology challenges, we encourage you to apply.

• Hardware installation, configuration, and rack deployment (including cabling and power sequencing).
• Rack de‑installation and component removal.
• Hardware break/fix including replacement of faulted units.
• Troubleshoot and resolve telco connectivity issues.
• Replace network switch equipment.
• Communicate within a ticketing system supervised by Oracle Cloud service owners.
• Document activities and update SOPs.
• Structured cabling, labeling, and fiber/copper cable troubleshooting.
• Execute small projects independently and collaborate on larger local projects.

• Knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware.
• Interest in learning new data center technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with quality‑assurance focus.
• Willingness to work on weekends, holidays, and on‑call shifts.
• Minimum 3 years of IT experience.
• Inventory management experience (ordering, receiving, shipping parts).
• Experience taking on‑call shifts and responding to critical events.
• Ability to raise issues to senior onsite staff and management.
• Knowledge of RAID, SAN, SCSI, Linux/Unix, GRUB.
• Knowledge of trunk infrastructure is a plus.

• 2‑year or 4‑year degree or 3+ years of experience.
• 1 year+ experience in structured cabling, testing, cooling, and electrical systems within a data center.

Hiring range USD $27.07 – $54.13 per hour ($56,300 – $112,600 per year). Equity may be available.
