As an Analytics & Communications Specialist, you'll be the storyteller behind the numbers—analyzing complex business challenges, uncovering trends, and delivering clear, actionable insights that drive operational excellence. You'll be the go-to partner for data analysis, reporting, and communication, transforming raw information into powerful narratives that guide leaders and empower teams. From auditing data quality to coaching colleagues on analytics tools, you'll ensure the organization not only has the right data—but knows how to use it.
This role is about more than crunching numbers—it’s about shaping strategy, sparking innovation, and helping the business thrive through smarter decisions.
- Explore data with multiple data sources, working with subject matter experts, to determine and provide key insights on trends and relationships between variables.
- Deliver ad hoc and pre-defined reports to stakeholder groups and answer questions pertaining to reports.
- Provide reports and data analysis for a wide variety of topics based on the team leader's identified business requirements.
- Define or contribute to analytics strategy.
- Create reports leveraging insights from data exploration, prepared with visualizations, in formats such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets, and build recommendations to improve business unit effectiveness.
- Work to ensure global consistency in data and analytic methods.
- Engage across the organization to clarify requests and provide debriefs to explain data insights and drive action.
- Support communication requirements of the leader, including findings, sharing of action items, and regular organization communications.
- Provide oversight and timely escalation of data and trends to departmental leaders and stakeholders.
- Create or update process documentation to support respective department standard duties and seek approval from department heads where needed.
- Work to make data available and increase employees' capability to interpret and use data and analytics tools effectively.
- May partner with fellow Equinix team members to develop, assess, facilitate, or lead programs to support business objectives.
- Coach fellow Equinix team members and provide training on reports, tools, etc.
- Contribute to periodic audits of data within business systems/platforms.
- Perform follow-up checks to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Follow consistent reporting formats, guided by global centers of excellence. Deliver consistent reporting formats where predefined formats do not exist.
- 1+ years related experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or relevant engineering discipline preferred.
- Expertise in working with technical or financial teams, regularly reviewing data, and preparing presentations.
- Expertise in data aggregation and reporting systems such as Power
BI and SharePoint. - Expertise in applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Smart Sheet.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new information systems and applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
