What you will do…
  • Perform Layer 1 troubleshooting of fiber optic circuits
  • Use EXFO OTDR to analyze fiber faults, reflections, and distance‑to‑failure
  • Take and interpret light levels (dBm readings) and understand acceptable loss thresholds
  • Verify and identify fiber before disconnecting circuits
  • Utilize non‑intrusive testers to confirm live traffic/light presence
  • Work with various optics including SFPs, QSFPs, QSFP

  • Perform maintenance windows with Customers, Carriers & Remote NOC Teams
  • Work safety in live fiber environments without impacting production circuits
  • Document test results and troubleshooting findings
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in various environments
    Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
What you will need to succeed…
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Center Technician or related field.
  • Experience with troubleshooting fiber optic circuits
  • Experience working in live fiber environments
  • Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be detail‑oriented and quality‑driven
  • Ability to lift heavy network equipment
  • Ability to perform work on a ladder
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Physical Demands

  • Work may take place in varied environments that can be cold, hot, noisy, or wet, and may include exposure to odors or fumes.

The base salary range for this position is $40‑45 per hour. Please note that the compensation range reflects the base pay only and does not include benefits, or bonuses this role may be eligible to receive.
