The Role Entails

The Infrastructure Manager will be a critical member of the development team responsible for utility interface for Cloud

HQ’s (CHQ) Data Center products. The Infrastructure Manager will focus on all stages of assigned projects, with an emphasis on speed to market of all future inventory, quick project delivery and cost effectiveness. The Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for professionally representing CHQ’s development department across multiple functions within the organization as well as outside of the company. This role will be the primary point of contact and communication for utility activities, acting as a leader to the general contractor/design team, and the primary liaison between CHQ and project stakeholders.

You Will Get To Do
  • Assist with master planning, entitlement, and permitting processes
  • Manage communications with utility companies for all projects
  • Assess existing infrastructure and determine necessary improvements
  • Provide deliverables to utility companies, such as load requests and schedules
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments to provide site plans and engineering reports
  • Oversee utility infrastructure projects from initial development through construction
  • Ensure adherence to internal engineering and construction standards during utility engagements and design
  • Manage utility development processes, laws, regulations, permitting, and entitlements
  • Draft and distribute RFPs for design disciplines and make award recommendations
  • Assist with contract negotiations
  • Work with design/construction teams to establish budgets and schedules
  • Build and leverage partnerships with architects, engineers, contractors, trade partners, equipment vendors, local municipalities, etc.
  • Communicate with adjacent property owners and neighborhood groups as needed
  • Manage the budgeting process throughout the life of the project
  • Produce management reports relative to development projects
  • Supervision of project participants as needed
  • Attend project OAC meetings (among others) and liaise on action items between CHQ and design/construction teams
  • Manage project while in construction and provide cross‑company collaboration to ensure timely and coordinated energization and delivery of power to the data center
  • Develop creative solutions and innovations to help streamline processes
Requirements

What You Bring to

The Role:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a similar field of study
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in managing utility infrastructure
  • Experience in communicating and coordinating with utility companies, energy companies, and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and maintain relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Technical knowledge of utility infrastructure methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Willingness and flexibility to perform tasks and duties expected and unexpected with a pleasant & professional attitude
  • Analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse collaborators and facilitate discussions
