We’re delighted to be supporting a Global Engineering Firm in the search for a Project Engineer – Electrical Commissioning to join their rapidly growing mission-critical division.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-value data centre projects, delivering the commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure that underpins some of the world’s most advanced facilities.
You’ll play a key role in the commissioning lifecycle—supporting design review, testing, troubleshooting, and client handover of electrical systems within mission-critical environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct functional & performance testing using specialist instrumentation
- Attend factory acceptance testing (FAT)
- Review designs against client operational goals
- Analyse system performance & provide technical recommendations
- Coordinate site activities with project teams & contractors
- Produce commissioning reports & field documentation
- Support and mentor junior engineers
You’ll work across a broad range of critical electrical infrastructure, including:
- Generators & Paralleling Switchgear
- Medium / High / Low Voltage Transformers
- UPS & Battery Systems
- MV/LV Switchgear & Main Switchboards
- Automatic & Static Transfer Switches (ATS / STS)
- Power Distribution Units (PDU) & Busways
- Remote Power Panels (RPP)
- PLC & Switching Control Systems
- Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Electrical Engineering degree or relevant commissioning experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems
- Familiarity with NETA testing specifications (desirable)
- Understanding of BMS / EPMS / distributed control systems (advantageous)
- Experience with commissioning instrumentation & testing
- A proactive, client-focused approach
Travel
- Nationwide travel typically 50–75% depending on project assignment. Local candidates to job sites will be kept local.
