Responsibilities- Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
- Coordinate with General Contractor (GC) and/or owner regarding site conditions and non-compliance notices.
- Participate in meetings with customers, project team members, and contractors/sub-contractors to advise on project-specific mitigation plans, safety training programs, and technical reports.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Site Specific Accident Prevention Programs (APP) and training plans to meet project safety specifications.
- Assist with site safety budgets, necessary safe work permits, and ensure compliance with project contract, plans, and specifications.
- Lead the Operational Risk Management (ORM) team in reviewing, interpreting, and developing a project safety plan based on client and contractor specifications, design drawings, regulations, and existing safety systems.
- Conduct/assist with incident investigation reporting.
- Apply knowledge of safety and health standards, rules, regulations, safe work practices, accident investigation techniques, OSHA, DOT compliance, insurance audits, workers compensation, project health surveys, AHA, site emergency evacuation, and first aid plans.
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint.
- 8+ years of experience with a high school diploma.
- 6+ years of experience with an Associates Degree.
- 2+ years of experience with a Bachelors Degree.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience conducting S&H training and regulatory compliance (e.g., 1910, 1926, EM-385, ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000).
- Understanding of safety training programs such as OSHA 500/502 and safety degrees from ABET accredited programs.
- Willingness to pursue certifications such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST).
- Previous electrical/construction/industrial/federal and commercial S&H experience.
- Ability to work with computer screens for extended periods.
- Prolonged sitting capability.
- Reach and manipulate objects with fingers and arms.
- Effective listening and communication skills.
- Reading comprehension in written materials.
- Problem-solving and application of general rules to specific scenarios.
- Understanding of others’ speech and ideas.
