Non Invasive Cardiologist; MD​/DO Loudoun and Fairfax

Overview

Non-Invasive Cardiologist (MD/DO) – Ashburn. The Inova Schar Heart and Vascular is seeking a board certified/eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join the Ashburn team. The position includes outpatient clinic duties in Ashburn, VA with inpatient rounding at Inova Loudoun Hospital.

• Provide quality medical care to Inova Health System patients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Conduct comprehensive medical exams, make diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and educate patients on disease prevention and management.
• Develop and grow a clinical practice that drives volume for Inova’s cardiac diagnostic and imaging center.
• Take call at inpatient locations as assigned.

• Inpatient Coverage:
  Inova Loudoun Hospital with APP coverage
• Opportunities to cover inpatient, CCU and echo services at Fairfax hospital
• Outpatient Imaging responsibilities: 2-3 reading days a month, 15-20 echos and 5 nuclear studies per day
• Call: approximately 10 weekends per year and 2-3 weeknight call coverages per month
• Opportunity for research and education with Cardiology Fellowship Program

• Education:
  
  Graduate of accredited Medical Doctorate Program (MD/DO)
• Board Certification:
  Must be board certified or board eligible in Cardiology
• Certification:
  Must obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of training; BLS from the American Heart Association
• Licensure:
  Currently hold or ability to obtain an unrestricted VA medical licensure
