Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Ashburn, Virginia. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone with a detail-oriented mindset and experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to financial operations while developing your skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process invoices and monitor expenses to ensure accuracy and timely payment.

- Prepare and manage bank deposits on a daily basis.

- Review and analyze financial records for accuracy and compliance.

- Assist with purchasing activities, including tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery.

- Request and process vendor quotes to support procurement needs.

- Maintain organized paper and digital records for easy accessibility.

- Perform filing and data entry tasks to support accounting operations.

- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books and Procurify to manage financial transactions.

- Collaborate with team members to address billing inquiries and reconcile accounts.

- Manage vendor communications and ensure proper documentation for financial activities. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Office applications.

- Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Ability to perform account reconciliations accurately and efficiently.

- Experience with preparing daily bank deposits and managing billing functions.

- Familiarity with purchasing activities and vendor management.

- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
