Band 7 Hepatology Nurse - Fibroscan

Vivid Healthcare are looking for an experienced Band 7 Hepatology Nurse to join a busy unit in Ascot.

Pay:
Up to £50 per hour

Position Details:
Must have at least 6 months UK experience and ideally hold and up to date mandatory training certificate also the following;

• Independently perform Fibro Scan (transient elastography) assessments for patients with suspected or confirmed liver disease, in line with local and national protocols.
• Prepare patients for Fibro Scan procedures, including clinical screening, explanation of the procedure, consent, and aftercare advice.
• Accurately operate Fibro Scan equipment, ensuring high-quality, reproducible results, troubleshooting technical issues as required.
• Record, interpret, and report Fibro Scan results within scope of practice, escalating abnormal or complex findings to senior clinicians.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using electronic patient record systems.
• Undertake nurse-led assessments in hepatology clinics, including history taking, observations, risk assessment, and phlebotomy (where trained).
• Provide patient education on liver disease, lifestyle modification (e.g. alcohol reduction, weight management), and treatment adherence.

To be successful for this role, you must be a fully qualified with a minimum of 6 months recent experience within a UK based hospital.
