Deputy Head

Salary:
The salary for this role will be on The Marist’s Leadership Scale and will reflect the seniority of the position and the experience of the successful candidate.

Sunninghill, near Ascot, Berkshire

Responsibilities
  • The Deputy Head plays a central role in the strategic leadership, organisation and day-to-day running of the School, working in close partnership with the Principal and other members of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Carry significant responsibility across academic, pastoral and super-curricular life and contribute to a vision for the School’s future.
  • Be decisive yet adaptable, respond effectively to evolving circumstances, and demonstrate outstanding organisational skills to manage competing priorities while maintaining clarity, pace, and strategic focus.
  • Provide evidence of an ambitious and innovative vision for the School, with emotional intelligence to motivate, develop and get the best from a dedicated, talented and experienced teaching team.
  • Act as a visible, inspiring presence within the school, championing excellence in teaching, learning and scholarship while embodying the school values.
  • Collaborate with the Principal and a team of three Assistant Heads; work with the Preparatory School’s leadership to ensure continuity of academic and pastoral values.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Highly experienced educational leader of authority, judgement and experience.
  • Ability to respond to changing circumstances with strong organisational and leadership capabilities.
