The salary for this role will be on The Marist’s Leadership Scale and will reflect the seniority of the position and the experience of the successful candidate.

- The Deputy Head plays a central role in the strategic leadership, organisation and day-to-day running of the School, working in close partnership with the Principal and other members of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Carry significant responsibility across academic, pastoral and super-curricular life and contribute to a vision for the School’s future.
- Be decisive yet adaptable, respond effectively to evolving circumstances, and demonstrate outstanding organisational skills to manage competing priorities while maintaining clarity, pace, and strategic focus.
- Provide evidence of an ambitious and innovative vision for the School, with emotional intelligence to motivate, develop and get the best from a dedicated, talented and experienced teaching team.
- Act as a visible, inspiring presence within the school, championing excellence in teaching, learning and scholarship while embodying the school values.
- Collaborate with the Principal and a team of three Assistant Heads; work with the Preparatory School’s leadership to ensure continuity of academic and pastoral values.
- Highly experienced educational leader of authority, judgement and experience.
- Ability to respond to changing circumstances with strong organisational and leadership capabilities.
