- Assign drivers and specific equipment numbers in the Daily Schedule based on directions from superintendents, project managers, and the Fleet Manager
- Adjust dispatch and the Daily Schedule, including driver and equipment assignments, to support changes, weather, breakdowns, or other issues when needed
- Dispatch trucks, equipment, mixers, and materials to job sites per superintendent, project manager, and Fleet Manager direction
- Coordinate daily trucking, hauling, and equipment moves to support field execution
- Coordinate all third-party trucking, including:
- Equipment moves
- Lowboy transport
- Tandems & side dumps for site work.
- Support batch plant and field operations by coordinating:
- Aggregate supply
- Ready-mix scheduling
- Mixer truck dispatch and sequencing
- Communicate directly with drivers, mixer operators, superintendents, project managers, Fleet Manager, fleet, and shop staff to keep work moving
- Proactively monitor trucking utilization on job sites and adjust dispatch to reduce waiting time, or under utilization
- Track trucks, mixer trucks, and equipment using Heavy Job and Tenna to:
- Confirm assignments and locations
- Monitor utilization and downtime
- Support accurate job costing
- Ensure equipment, trucking, and production activity is entered and updated correctly in Heavy Job
- Maintain required DOT and FMCSA driver documentation
- Daily Schedule is accurate and complete with assigned drivers and equipment numbers
- Dispatch changes are reflected in the Daily Schedule in real time
- Trucking utilization is actively managed to reduce idle time and stacked deliveries
- Heavy Job and Tenna data is accurate, current, and supports job costing
- Equipment, trucks, mixers, and materials align with superintendent and project manager needs
- Third‑party trucking is coordinated without disrupting field production
- Batch plant operations are supported without delays to crews
- Issues are identified early and escalated before impacting the field
- Weekly pre‑construction and operations meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
- Provide coverage support for the front office or other team members as needed, while maintaining primary dispatch responsibilities
