POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Plumbing Trade Lead brings an understanding of quality to Fading West that our customers expect in their homes. This individual elevates the overall skills and knowledge of the plumbing team by acting as a mentor and trainer to other Fading West team members. This individual must be highly flexible and humble and enjoy a fast-paced environment.

• Teaching and training the plumbing team in order to achieve desired production goals in a positive, team-oriented fashion is essential.
• Performs plumbing tasks to support production.
• Improve, create, design as needed, plumbing processes to achieve safety, quality, and velocity
• Communicates and coordinates with other trade teams and departments (like our engineering department) to achieve production’s goals without sacrificing safety and quality.
• Leads the activities of the various plumbing assembly operations.
• When areas of improvement in the plumbing design and production process have been identified, collaborate with all stakeholders in a positive fashion to ensure all new improvements have been trained and implemented.
• Performs all other tasks necessary to support production.
• Complete weekly inventory counts on all plumbing products and work with our supply chain team to ensure all materials needed are available to the plumbing team.

• High knowledge of plumbing code
• DWV piping knowledge
• Professional plumbing experience, 3 years.
• Residential plumbing experience, 3 years.
• Journeyman certification or higher a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Organizational, planning, and documentation skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously

• In-Person (this position cannot be performed remotely)
• This role requires signing a confidentiality agreement, intellectual property rights agreement, and non-disclosure agreement
• Background check results that meet Fading West’s standards
• Reference check that speaks to the positive character of the applicant
• May be required to regularly stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, lift or carry more than 50 pounds, climb/balance on stairs or ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Must be competent and comfortable in basic computer skills and navigating modern technology
