Our client, a multi-state cannabis company, is seeking an experienced data-driven Sales Director to grow and manage sales in Colorado and new markets east of the Rockies. The ideal candidate can effectively monitor, dissect, and report on sales performance.
MUST HAVE CANNABIS WHOLESALE SELLING EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities- Lead, grow and manage sales in CO & new eastern markets to deliver on targeted results
- Maintain weekly pipeline and activity reviews with sales team and provide feedback, coaching, and training
- Support sales team in strategizing, negotiating, and closing deals
- Understand and effectively manage the wholesale sales initiatives, strategies, and programs
- Create and manage wholesale partnerships with dispensaries
- Ensure processes regarding product allocation and order processing are being maintained
- Partner with inventory to ensure accurate inventory management/menu management
- Partner with fulfillment team to ensure accurate and timely wholesale order fulfillment
- Maintain thorough and accurate management of the sales pipeline through the CRM
- Maintain open communication with the sales team and clients, handle questions, objections, and address customer needs in a timely manner
- Establish forecasting and setting monthly and quarterly targets
- Maintain expert level knowledge of our brands and product offerings, as well as the offerings of our competitors
- Maintain a knowledge of the customer landscape, new dispensary openings, mergers, and acquisitions, etc.
- Maintain knowledge of general regulatory concerns faced in the cannabis industry
- Complete regular dispensary visits to both current and potential customers to build relationships and expand sales opportunities
- Collaborate with inventory, marketing, and operations teams to maximize results
- Directly manage enterprise level customer relationships
- Direct sales, client development, and account management experience in the cannabis industry
- Data driven with track record of effectively leveraging consumer insights, as well as monitoring, dissecting, and reporting on sales performance
- Passionate about reporting, data and analytics to create a healthier commercial business
- Existing relationships with cannabis MSOs within the CO market as well as experience opening new markets with demonstrable long-term success strategies in place
- Track record of team building / leadership as well as mentoring / coaching / developing junior salespeople
- CRM experience with a strong appreciation for CRM value to a growing business
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
- Physically located (has residence) in CO
