Job Title: Samples Receiving Technician / Inventory
Location: Arvada, CO (Onsite)

Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Compensation: $22.00/hour
Type: 6-month, Contract to Hire
OverviewA leading environmental testing laboratory is seeking a Sample Receiving Technician to support daily sample processing operations. This role is critical in ensuring environmental samples such as soil and water are accurately logged, tracked, and routed for testing. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments and bring strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Responsibilities- Receive and unpack incoming environmental samples delivered to the laboratory
- Log samples into the laboratory tracking system and verify sample documentation
- Review Chain of Custody (COC) forms and verify sample information is complete and accurate
- Label and route samples to appropriate laboratory departments for testing
- Prepare bottle kits and supplies for client sample collection and shipment
- Store samples in designated coolers or freezers according to standard procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of sample receipt, labeling, and tracking
- Monitor cooler and freezer temperatures and ensure compliance with SOPs
- Assist with disposal of samples and laboratory waste according to procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and support inventory and supply management
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Comfortable using computers for data entry and sample tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to verify numbers and documentation accurately
- Ability to follow written procedures and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in food service, retail, warehouse, or other fast-paced environments is highly transferable
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer
