Duties
* Serves as the primary advisor to the Commander as the Preservation of the Force and Family Program manager.
* Fosters resilience of assigned personnel and family through management of SOCNORTH POTFF programs and initiatives.
* Serves as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR), maintains and develops communication and coordination among the POTFF-assigned contractors providing varied services, the SOCNORTH contracting officer, and all government personnel assigned to monitor contract performance.
* Serves as the SOCNORTH Readiness Coordinator for the Family Readiness Group. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Special Sensitive Security Clearances. The investigative requirement CANNOT be waived for special sensitive positions. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS/SCI) clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

* This is a TERM position NTE 28-FEB-2029 Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, guidance and precedents which affect the use of program and related support resources in the areas of Preservation of the Force and Family program and Family Readiness.
Knowledge of major issues, agency program goals and objectives, work processes, and administrative operations of the installation. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in
-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of USSOCOM policy of Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) 2. Knowledge of assigned POTFF programs, develop new concepts, and plans to support SOCNORTH Force and family.
3. Skills in written and verbal communication, to effectively communicate with senior- level leadership within the command and other organizational leaders.
4. Skills in organization and multi-facet management acumen in overseeing a multitude of activities and personnel for program success.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and carry out projects for the effective execution of POTFF programs.
6. Ability to liaison with other organizations outside DoD for mutual benefit in support of the command POTFF program. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
