We are onboarding new employees using a hybrid approach. The Department supports flexible work arrangements ranging from hybrid to full‑time in the office, depending on business needs. Specific schedules will be discussed during the offer stage. Equipment provisioning and certain onboarding tasks will take place in person, in our downtown Denver office, on the first day of employment.

The Finance Office includes the CFO, Budget, Controller, Managed Care, Fee for Service, Special Financing, Audits, and Procurement Divisions. The CFO is responsible for financial management, risk oversight, and strategic planning. This position supports the Rates Review and Research section which evaluates and reports on Medicaid provider reimbursement rates to ensure adequate access to services, in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Analyze and interpret financial, utilization, and other data (e.g., claims, survey, geographic, APCD) to assess client access and provider supply of health services.
• Compare Colorado Medicaid rates to other payers, including Medicare and commercial carriers, and project budget impacts of rate changes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, subject matter experts, and contracted actuaries on rate comparison and utilization analyses.
• Produce annual reports for the Medicaid Provider Rate Review Advisory Committee (MPRRAC), the Joint Budget Committee (JBC), and state legislature.
• Use SQL, Tableau, TOAD, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Excel for quantitative analysis and data visualization.
