Position: Project Engineer I

As a part of our global Aftermarket service team the Aftermarket Project Engineer will support all Engineered Solution orders. Each pump and compressor engineered solution order is configured to meet order specific technical specifications and customer requirements. This position will directly interact with customers and Honeywell Sundyne operations to ensure on-time delivery is met and orders are accurately engineered to specifications.

In this role, you will report to our Mechanical Engineering Supervisor and work onsite at our Arvada, CO location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Capable of working multiple projects at one time; upwards of 10-20 projects at one time that are at different stages of order execution.
  • Effectively plan, implement, control, report, and provide updates on all projects.
  • Review of customer order and technical specifications.
  • Contract management to include execution of the contractual scope, terms and conditions, project deliverables and completion of committed duties.
  • Deliver projects in accordance with the customer specification and Honeywell Sundyne’s standards, budget and schedules without compromising quality.
  • Create pump and compressor bills of material specific to each order using Honeywell Sundyne’s configuration tools, and collaboration with suppliers of special components.
  • Selection of major supporting equipment (motors, heat exchangers, instruments, gages, etc.).
  • Providing direction to design/drafting resources to complete integration of supporting equipment.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Aid in the disposition of non-conforming parts and troubleshoot test and assembly issues.
  • Assist with the creation of quality plans and other related technical documentation and adhere to project schedules.
  • Effectively communicate client expectations and information to internal and external teams.
  • Maintain high quality standards through creation of inspection & testing plans, coordination of customer witness testing and assembly of final document dossiers.
  • Ability to quantify and mitigate project risk.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of Honeywell Sundyne’s project management processes, systems, standards, and tools.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • 0-3 years in an engineering and/or technical fluid handling position.
  • Ability to provide leadership to both factory and engineering personnel and align project teams’ efforts to meet or exceed project goals.
  • Ability to meet short deadlines and manage multiple customer orders simultaneously with a high degree of ownership for timely and accurate completion.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in representing Honeywell Sundyne in daily communications with customers.
  • Strong general understanding of engineering sciences and be comfortable engaging in technical communication and decision making.

WE VALUE

  • Familiar with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards.
  • Working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures used in the oil and gas, chemical or related industry.
  • International experience preferred.
  • Capable of working both independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, and a high degree of focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong personal organization and time management skills.
