We are seeking a USCIS-designated Civil Surgeon to join our healthcare team in Colorado. The Civil Surgeon will be responsible for conducting medical examinations and completing immigration-related medical documentation in compliance with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) guidelines. This role requires clinical expertise, attention to detail, and strong patient communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Perform immigration medical examinations as required by USCIS.
- Review medical history, conduct physical examinations, and order or review required laboratory tests and vaccinations.
- Accurately complete and certify USCIS Form I‑693 and related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal immigration health regulations and USCIS policies.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely medical records.
- Communicate findings clearly and compassionately to patients.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, laboratory services, and administrative personnel.
- Stay current with USCIS updates, vaccination requirements, and public health guidelines.
- Uphold ethical standards and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Required Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Colorado.
- USCIS designation as a Civil Surgeon.
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible preferred.
Strong knowledge of preventive care, vaccinations, and communicable disease screening. - Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience conducting immigration medical exams.
- Multilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages preferred).
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or public health.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and patient‑centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Outpatient clinic or medical office setting.
- Flexible scheduling options available.
$200.00/hr - $200.00/hr
Compensation- $200/hour and 8‑12 hours per week (but flexible).
