Accounting Manager​/Supervisor

Description

Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the construction industry to find a Accounting Manager. This is a full time, permanent position in Arvada. It is 100% in office, and is paying 80-100k. Additional information and job requirements are below. Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring timely approvals and accurate payment cycles.

- Manage customer billing processes, from initial setup to delivery, while maintaining pricing accuracy and proper documentation.

- Perform reconciliations for customer accounts and support collections as needed.

- Handle corporate expense reporting and credit card reconciliations to ensure compliance and accuracy.

- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are classified appropriately and aligned with accounting standards.

- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Prepare financial statements, analyze performance metrics like margins and profitability, and provide actionable insights.

- Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

- Coordinate with external accounting resources, setting clear expectations and monitoring their performance.

- Develop and document standard operating procedures to support scalable accounting practices.

Requirements

+ Construction and/or service-based industry experience required (WIP, cost accounting, working with project managers)

+ Comfortable in a hands-on environment

+ Bachelor's degree preferred

+ Quick Books Online preferred
