Class 2 Refuse Driver

Class 2 Driver - Nottingham

Gi Group are recruiting Class 2 Drivers to support the waste operation of a local authority. If you're confident behind the wheel and adaptable to different routes, we'd love to hear from you.

• Shifts:
  
  Monday to Friday - 14:00-22:00
• Pay rate: £16.60 per hour

• Category C License, DIGI and CPC card
• 12 months experience driving Class 2 vehicles
• Clean driving licence record with no more than 6 penalty points (subject to endorsement codes)

• Carrying out vehicle safety checks and maintenance to ensure legal roadworthiness
• Lead a small crew, give instructions, and manage performance on daily routes
• Using in-cab systems and software to record service delivery and incidents
• Ensure that the health and safety standards and practices are followed

• Able to follow instructions, work to deadlines
• Be comfortable driving Class 2 vehicles in different areas
• Clear communication skills for working with team members and engaging with the public.
• Flexible and physically fit, able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service, representing the Council positively.
