Class 2 Refuse Driver - Nottingham

Gi Group are recruiting Class 2 Drivers to support the waste operation of a local authority. If you're confident behind the wheel and adaptable to different routes, we'd love to hear from you.

Shift Details:

Shifts:

Monday to Friday

Pay rate: 15.83 per hour

What we're looking for:

Category C License, DIGI and CPC card

12 months experience driving Class 2 vehicles

Clean driving licence record with no more than 6 penalty points (subject to endorsement codes)

Role Accountabilities:

Carrying out vehicle safety checks and maintenance to ensure legal roadworthiness

Lead a small crew, give instructions, and manage performance on daily routes

Using in-cab systems and software to record service delivery and incidents

Ensure that the health and safety standards and practices are followed

Technical skills:

Able to follow instructions, work to deadlines

Be comfortable driving Class 2 vehicles in different areas

Clear communication skills for working with team members and engaging with the public.

Flexible and physically fit, able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and in all weather conditions.

Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service, representing the Council positively.
