Job Title: Records Support Officer
Permanent
Hours: 37 per week
Salary range: £30,333 per annum (pro-rata if part time)
Based at: Headquarters, Sherwood Lodge, Arnold, Notts
OverviewTo work with the Records Management Officer in the review, retention and disposal (RRD) process of Nottinghamshire Police records reporting directly to the Information Security and Compliance Team Leader. The primary role for the successful candidate will be to work with Information Asset Owners, adhering to records management policy and procedures providing advice and guidance for both policing and non-policing information assets.
As part of the role the successful candidate will be involved in a variety of projects, assisting with M365 functionality, delivering assurance and best practice on how we use this product, migrating information and managing legacy data. Embracing new ways of working to support the storage, retention and weeding of police data.
The postholder will work to the Management of Police Information (MOPI) and Police Information and Records Management (PIRM) obligations and improve the Forces compliance level against the Data Protection Act 2018 and national standards.
Key Skills & Experience- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, develop effective working relationships and gather accurate information.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interpret and apply legislation.
- Knowledge of records management standards and best practice and apply this to comply with legislation including the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to use own initiative.

Vetting Level – Management – you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years, with less than 12 months spent abroad (some exceptions for those living on a UK military base).
