Position Overview

The Sales Engineer conducts technical business-to-business (B2B) sales for LMC Industries by combining strong technical expertise with professional consultative sales skills. This role is responsible for delivering technical guidance, supporting the sales process, and ensuring customers receive LMC solutions aligned with their operational and business needs.

The Sales Engineer will work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to evaluate RFQs, drawings, and manufacturing requirements while developing cost-effective solutions utilizing LMC Industries’ metal stamping and injection molding capabilities.

This role requires a proactive sales professional who can identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with OEM manufacturers
, while also growing existing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations.
  • Clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Engage with customers to understand their technical and operational requirements.
  • Design and recommend tailored solutions that align with system specifications and business goals.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner closely with the sales team to support solution-based selling strategies.
  • Contribute to proposal development, including technical documentation and solution design.
  • Develop and model financial business cases to support customer decision-making.
  • Ensure smooth handoff from sales to implementation teams.
New Business Development
  • Proactively identify and pursue new OEM and contract manufacturing opportunities within target markets.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry engagement

  • Review customer RFQs, prints, and specifications and collaborate with engineering and estimating teams to develop competitive quotations.
Customer Support & Account Growth
  • Assist clients in troubleshooting product-related issues.
  • Recommend upgrades, optimizations, or additional services as appropriate.
  • Provide post-sales technical support to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling additional services.
Sales Process & CRM Management
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, RFQs, quotations, and opportunity status through effective use of the company CRM system
    .
  • Manage and prioritize the sales pipeline within the CRM to ensure timely follow‑up, accurate forecasting, and visibility across sales, engineering, and operations teams.

  • Experience using CRM platforms to manage sales pipelines, track customer activity, and maintain accurate opportunity data

  • Experience with contract manufacturing, metal stamping, injection molding, tooling, or precision manufacturing environments preferred.
  • 4-year degree in Engineering or related field
