Position SummaryWe are currently building a pool of qualified part-time faculty to support our academic programs. Candidates will be contacted as needed, each semester, based on student enrollment numbers and program requirements.
The Sociology, Anthropology, and Geography (SAG) department is currently building a pool of qualified part-time faculty to support our academic courses and programs. Part-Time Instructors are a member of the academic team committed to advancing high-quality, equity-minded education at Anne Arundel Community College.
Part-Time Instructors will be responsible for the delivery of engaging and inclusive educational content in courses such as Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, Introduction to Biological Anthropology, and Introduction to Archaeology. Instructors will facilitate thoughtful discussion, support student learning, and promote critical inquiry across the breadth of anthropology, including cultural practices and meaning-making, human biological variation and evolution, material culture and the archaeological record, social organization and power, identity and difference, and the diverse lived experiences of past and present human communities.
Candidates will be contacted as needed, each semester, based on student enrollment numbers and program requirements.
The pay range for this position is $3,510 to $3,789 per course.
