Summary:

Reed Recruitment are looking for a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our client's team. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, including air compressors, both within our facility and at customer sites. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems to guarantee efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and resolve issues. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems using appropriate tools and techniques. Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules with minimal operational disruption. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Assist with the installation of new equipment as required. Skills &

Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair techniques. Good understanding and experience in pipework installations; knowledge of pneumatic systems is highly desirable. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for teamwork and collaboration. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; relevant qualifications will be considered.
