Quality Assurance Technician(Maternity Cover) Job : WS/QAT/01/26

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all production activities are completed in line with defined quality and food safety specifications;
Carry out routine quality and food safety checks, including weekly hygiene audits;
Collect, prepare, and submit product samples to external laboratories for testing;
Conduct internal audits in accordance with BRC, customer, and company standards;
Maintain and continuously improve site quality systems, including SOPs, supplier management; specifications, and internal audits in line with HACCP and legal requirements;
Assist in the investigation of non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions;
Review, maintain, and update the Quality Management System (QMS), supporting the implementation of a cloud-based QMS.

The Person : A minimum of one year's experience in a food manufacturing or quality control environment, or a relevant third-level food qualification;
Working knowledge of BRC, Tesco and other retailer standards;
The ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision and work as part of a team;
Demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills;
Have excellent attention to detail and maintain accurate, well-organised records. Preference will be given to candidates with:
Internal audit trained, with experience conducting internal audits; HACCP Level 3;

Experience of online traceability systems.
