Overview

We are looking for a compassionate, creative, and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team in our welcoming residential care home, supporting residents within our specialist dementia unit and general residential unit. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving the quality of life for older people and creating meaningful experiences each day.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of daily activities for residents.
  • Encourage participation and engagement in both group and one-to-one activities.
  • Create stimulating, meaningful experiences that promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
  • Celebrate seasonal events, birthdays, and special occasions.
  • Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure activities are person-centred and inclusive.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment during activities.
What We’re Looking For
  • A caring, patient, and positive personality.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging older adults.
  • Understanding of dementia and person-centred care (experience preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage participation.
  • Organised and flexible approach to work.
Hours & Flexibility

This is a full-time position, and flexibility is required to support activities throughout the week, including occasional weekends and special events.
