Custodian

Cleaning staff provides the highest level of medical cleaning, and patients, visitor, clinician contact and confidentiality.

• Knowledge of current Government guidelines/regulations
• Rare infectious waste handling
• Unplanned bodily fluid disinfection
• Rare infectious waste handling
• Carpet Care
• Hard-surface floor cleaning & maintenance
• Reception area/lobby cleaning
• Kitchen, restroom, and breakroom cleaning/restocking.
• Dusting and window washing
• Waste removal
• Sanitization
• Clean sidewalks and parking lots using designated equipment.
• Special projects and deep clean projects.
• Fill in at alternate locations as needed.
• Other various Custodian duties.

• Knowledge of current Government guidelines/regulations for medical cleaning.
• Current training on how to operate and maintain industrial cleaning machines including, carpet extractor, restroom cleaning machine and heavy duty floor cleaning machines. As well as basic housekeeping equipment.
• Current training in Hospital/Medical cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Be non-judgmental of clients and staff while, maintaining the highest quality of confidentiality.
• Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and when necessary independently and without supervision.
• Must be reliable and exercise excellent attendance.
• Must adhere to Stillaguamish policies and procedures set out by the Tribe.

• Frequently involves sedentary work.
• Occasionally involves light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force and/or up to 10 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force to move objects.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly requires the ability to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication.
• Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
• Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
• Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time.
• Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

• Hospital / Medical Cleaning Knowledge
• High School diploma or GED required or be willing to obtain one within two year per period.
• Some Computer skills and preferably MS Office.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Ability to interact in a positive demeanor. Comfortable in a constantly changing environment, flexible and adaptable.
• Current Washington State Driver’s License and ability to be approved by the Tribal insurance to drive Tribal vehicles.

The work schedule for the ICHC location varies from all other Stillaguamish owned facilities, and the holiday schedule may not apply to this position. ICHC is open during our extended Christmas break, therefore we will be running a part time skeleton shift’s for holiday coverage
