This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of quality engineers, you will develop and execute commercial quality processes for the design, test, and manufacture of engines. Our team is responsible for implementing quality initiatives that will support development and low-rate engine production. This position requires a passion for solving sophisticated problems and providing operable solutions; act with minimal direction and take ownership;

and be adaptable as we work on a variety of applications and systems.

• Shifts available: B Shift (Nights 3:15pm - 12:00am), Monday - Friday

• Responsible for continuous improvement of process/product such that the castings meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments.
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals.
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
• Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs.
• Recommend and improve initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality.
• Conduct dimensional probability studies.
• Use statistical and graphical analysis techniques to disposition yield and dimensional elements of the casting process.
• Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test for the Manufacturing team.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality related concerns; develop and present training materials to build quality awareness.

• B.S. in engineering with 2+ years of relevant Quality or Engineering experience.
• Quality experience in production environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO
  9000 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs.
• Experience using CMM, Blue Light Scan Data to characterize components.
• Proficiency in using Solidworks or related CAD package.
• Experience with Polyworks, GOM Inspect, or equivalent.
• Six Sigma Green Certificate or deep understanding of lean methodologies.
• Strong capability and understanding with proven success of RCCA tools.
• Strong GD&T technical understanding.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Machining, Welding, NDT, Sub-assembly and Final assembly and Test.
• Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation experience highly preferred.
• Investment casting experience in Aerospace.
• Experience mining data SQL, Redshift, Redash.
• Quality assurance experience in rocket engine production environment.
• Relevant experience in transitioning a product from development, through production to operations.
• QMS audit experience and quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
• Six Sigma Black Belt, or comparable certification

Compensation Range for WA applicants is $67,005.00-$93,805.95
