Accounting Supervisor – Arlington, WA

Our team is growing! We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to lead a high-performing accounting team. This role is responsible for financial accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cost analysis, budgeting support, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, accounting expertise, and a proactive approach to improving systems and processes.

• Review and analyze actual costs to identify inaccuracies or areas for improvement.
• Prepare and review budget reports and assist other departments in preparing annual budgets.
• Coordinate preparation of the corporate tax return.
• Perform month-end and year-end closings with support from the team.
• Identify and document updates to accounting processes and procedures.
• Develop systems and procedures for cost accumulation and cost accounting functions.
• Prepare and oversee periodic financial statements and the corporate annual report.
• Assist external auditors and provide required statements/information for the annual audit.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Oversee daily Accounting operations, including financial accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Implement training for new hires and identify ongoing training opportunities.
• Conduct performance evaluations for accounting staff and provide coaching and development.
• Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the work environment.

• 8+ years of accounting experience
• 3+ years of experience leading accounting teams
• Degree in accounting, business management, or related field a plus
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP compliance, internal controls, and audit support
• Experience with cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Proven experience with effective communication and organizational skills
